Dying Delaware Woman Gives up all to Expose Truth

Why after you have been the victim of Domestic Violence would you give everything to your abuser? Why after those injuries are taking your life? Why after you have been cheated out of not only all of your possessions but the relationship with the children you love... would you give up not only the home you put 18 years of your life into? But also give up the only other financial help you have the stocks left to you by your mother? Allowing yourself to be left homeless, disabled, and dying on the street...

According to Eileen Campagne the Delaware woman who on August 29th, 2007 signed over the house she bought with her husband Charles Campagne in 1988 and after over 22 years of marriage to him; and got nothing for her trouble. She also gave him the stocks left to her by her mother worth at the time approximately 9k she was told to do it by God. "God told me to do it... He said to give everything to him, so I did."

"He was trying to cheat me out of everything anyway, by trying to keep the final distribution of our assets a secret, so I would get nothing." said Ms. Campagne when asked to explain why she would do such a thing.

"He can't lie now and say he wasn't trying to take everything or wanted to do what was right" she explains.

Ms. Campagne has been using her credit card to live since the court ordered payments Mr. Campagne was told to pay ended on August 2nd, 2007. Her money has now run out and she faces being separated from her beloved service dog "Indy" and homelessness on the street. She uses a walker or two canes to get around. Her condition is paralyzing her and her ability to breathe and if left untreated will result in her death. The result of a spinal injury that she suffered at the hands of her husband on New Years Day 2007 when he slammed her to the floor injuring her neck.

With all the information available to protect women from Domestic Violence not only in the home but in the courts the First State or Delaware is Last when it comes to providing the protection women need. Despite our Vice-President elect Joe Biden's own stated and avowed personal commitment to protecting the most vulnerable of our citizens; the women and children of the First State are too often abused and imprisoned further by the very system put in place to protect them. It was my own journey through this jungle of lopsided injustice that is being masqueraded as not only justice... but equal protection under the law... This dismal failure to protect has prompted me to speak out for all those whose voices are silenced in the interest of protecting the abusers and the court system that allows them to continue to prey on their innocent victims usurping not only their safety but their rights and entitlements that are supposed to be protected by law.

Some might say I am cynical but the truth; when you are dying is of the utmost importance, as a Christian I believe you can't get into Heaven without it... Jesus after all is the truth... and the way so if you aren't walking in the truth you have lost your way. I walked in the truth, I tried very hard to do what was right, I was not seeking to be vindictive, and I never sought to ruin anyone's life or reputation. I just wanted the abuse to end and for my children and I to be able to live free from it. Mine is not your typical abuse story, my husband Chuck Campagne wasn't the type to go out on an drunk only to come home and abuse me physically like the majority of abuse cases are. They fit that cycle of abuse that is hanging up in every women's center I have ever been in, but we didn't fit into it, because my husband was not your classic abuser. He didn't need to be angry or drunk to abuse me, he had a spanking fetish which turned to abuse, and he would beat me just in case I had any ideas of doing something wrong.

Sometimes, we hear about a child gone missing in the news and something about their story, or their smile.... or the seemingly pleading sparkle in their eye.... to help them in someway... to find them and bring closure to their family... or to solve their murder and obtain long elusive justice for them.... and then there are those times when tragedy touches someone you know.... You get to witness first hand their pain.... their desperation.... their determination.... and the love that holds them together as they everyday search for answers. Wendy Lee Huggy is the neice of a friend of mine that I met at the Court TV Message Boards.... I didn't even realize that she had a missing niece... There are few clues in this young woman's disappearance... she was just 16 and living with her Paternal Grandparents in Holiday Florida.... she had moved there the previous August in 1981. On that fateful day on April 7th, 1982, Wendy went to the Clearwater Mall... She called her grandmother from the Mall saying she had met someone at the Mall... and that she was to later meet some friends at Clearwater Beach.... she never showed.... no one ever heard from Wendy again. Someone was using her Social Security # for some 10 years after her disappearance....

Back To School Safety.....

It's that time of year again, when the chalk boards are wiped down.... the desks arranged in neat rows.... and teacher's don the bulletin boards with Fall symbols and cheery welcome signs for their new students. For parents it's that mad dash to find that certain copy book.... school shoes... and all the rest of the paraphernalia that is part of going to school.... Here are a few tips to help keep your child safe as they embark on the new school year.

How to LABEL your child's things.... NEVER put your child's name on the OUTSIDE of any of his outerwear.....or backpacks......even lunch boxes.......put your child's name on the INSIDE... complete with your PHONE #...... especially for small children...... discourage your kids from buying jewelry that sports their WHOLE name.... Initials are fine.... or instruct them to wear the necklace UNDER their clothes......Be especially vigilant of Kindergarteners..... WALK THEM TO AND FROM THE BUS STOP..... if you can't do that either drive them to school or.......ask a trusted neighbor who also has a child that waits with your child...... Be wary while your child is wearing his name tag........it doesn't only help him be identified in school....... Predators have an undisputed in.... if they can call a child by name....... A timid 5 year old alone on a corner sporting a name tag for 10 to 15 minutes or more.......is a tempting sight for a predator......

If your child walks to school....... and you can't walk him to and from.... make the walk with him a few days before school starts........ or if you can.... and the better option.....the first few days........ EVEN IF IT MEANS BEING LATE FOR WORK......... If your child is K-3 see if you can't find another parent along the way..... with a child to meet and walk with your child.... if you can swing it....... trade off days..... this is not only a welcome relief......but ensures that your children always have an adult with them.... or perhaps.......you can arrange to drive them on the rainy days.... Walking with your child on those all important first days.....allows you to observe the surroundings they will be walking through........ and to spot people who may be available to help if there is trouble..... or areas they should avoid totally....... This is also a good time for a "How to cross the street refresher".

If you have older children.....make sure they keep an eye on the younger ones.........and STAY together.... There should be only ONE route to and from school........ explain to them they must NEVER stray.......or take a random short cut....... NEVER WALK ALONE - ALWAYS WALK WITH A BUDDY..... Time how long it takes to walk from door to door...... of course a child won't walk with the same purposefulness as an adult...... so.... allow them 5-10 minutes extra.... before expecting a phone call.... if they are going home to an empty house.....EXPECT A PHONE CALL DAILY.... if you have to be away from the phone at the appointed time........ask a co-worker to take the call for you or if more convenient...... ask an aunt or grandparent to be the child's after school phone buddy.

Alone at Home....... Many parents have to work and aren't always able to be home when there child returns home from school.... This can put the child at some risk.... if your child is not mature enough to follow directions and to know how to protect themselves during an emergency they should NOT be allowed or FORCED to come home to an empty house.... If you can't afford after school care.......then by all means do your best to find an alternative even if you have to trade babysitting services on the weekends with a neighbor or friend.... DO NOT ALLOW YOUR CHILD TO STAY HOME ALONE.......Before you child can or should be left alone... he or she should know........

1.)Be able to use a telephone effectively.

2.)Know how to dial 911 and to properly ask for assistance.

3.)Be able to USE a key and work the locks on the door.

4.)Be trust worthy.... and follow your instructions.... no exceptions.

5.)Be able to re-act appropriately if an emergency occurs.

Rules of Staying Alone

1.)Your child should lock the door behind them after they enter the home.

2.)Your child should NEXT connect with your or their support person.

3.)Let the Machine Get ALL phone calls.... set it so your child can hear the message instruct them to listen to the message BEFORE they pick up the phone... and to only answer if you or other family members are on the line.

4.)NEVER.........open the door to ANYONE.... and to

5.)Call for assistance if the person persists....

NOT EVEN IF THEY SAY THEY ARE POLICE.......if you or your child didn't call for help then there should be NO police on the premises..... If they can't reach you... they should hang up and IMMEDIATELY call 911. They should not open the door to accept packages from Delivery Services, or to anyone who is not on their list of approved people.

NEVER LEAVE THE FIRST CRIME SCENE.....
Your child must learn NOT to allow someone to take them from the location of first encounter... (First Crime Scene) this goes for us ADULTS as well as children.... cooperating with someone who promises that if you just do what they say.... you will not be harmed.... should be considered a hollow promise. If they get you or your child away from the relative safety of the first encounter which is a public area....... consider what they would do to you in the privacy of a remote location....... You not only need to TELL your children about stranger danger.... you need to PRACTICE the skills....... and practice them often.... As a former Brownie leader I can assure you... kids just DO NOT GET IT... by hearing what to do.... it's only through PRACTICE do they realize what they are EXPECTED to do... Each Spring we did a beware of strangers class... Teaching the children many of the safety rules already discussed in this post... I was SHOCKED... how many of the children STILL approached my "car" to help me even after we had told them MANY times NOT to (each time one of the girls approached me... we would explain ALL over again why they should not do that).... that all ended abruptly.... when after becoming exasperated.... I quickly grabbed one of my little charges when she approached.....and ran down the length of auditorium with her...... NOT ONE OTHER CHILD APPROACHED ME after that demonstration.... you can NOT just tell them.....you have to SHOW them.... and practice.... practice.... practice!!!

Children should NEVER help an adult find a lost puppy.....or kitten...... (This is how Joseph Duncan attempted and succeeded to abduct Anthony Martinez.... he had a picture of his "lost" cat)

Children should NEVER help someone who claims they are lost and need directions....

Children should NEVER approach the car of someone who stops to ask for help..... They should run away into the house.....

Children should NOT let go of their bike if someone tries to abduct them off of their bike.... the harder they make it for the perpetrator..... the more time it takes.... the less the perp is thinking about taking the child....... and more about being discovered.......

Children should not yell "No" or "Stop"or "Help Me" Teach your child to scream.......THIS IS NOT MY MOTHER/FATHER........FIRE........CALL POLICE....... we all have had the unfortunate experience of an unruly child in the mall or some other place who's parents fight them tooth and nail for their cooperation.... We have heard them yell.........NO.........and STOP........and HELP ME..... but did they yell for the police??? Did they scream this is not my dad? Did they scream this is a stranger?? Did they scream HE IS STEALING ME? No.... they screamed and shouted those words we as parents hear just about everyday....

Remember it will NOT get better for your child if he is taken to a secondary scene.... no matter if your child gets hurt........and they may....... they need to fight as much as possible... they need to make it as HARD as possible for this person to steal them.... and DO get your child ID kit and have it handy..... take Photo's of your child EVERY 6 MONTHS...... Side and Front....... Determine who will be your "stand in" in case of emergency.... and make sure your child knows the "signal" that allows them to feel confident if that person has to pick them up... Perplexing...

The longer I dwell on the news reports surrounding the alleged connection between Joseph Duncan and the Anthony Martinez kidnap/murder.... the more perplexed I become. First is the issue of the partial finger print found on the duct tape used to bind or gag little Anthony... and the obvious lack of investigation into it.... if the state police or the San Francisco authorities had bothered to check states near by.... or even nation wide for the perpetrator.... perhaps Duncan would have been apprehended and convicted a long time ago.... sparing the lives of countless others including the Groene and Mackensie families. Since Duncan had been in trouble of some sort basically for all of his teen years.... AND.... he was arrested.... tried and convicted in Washington state.... his finger prints were on file SOMEWHERE...... I don't understand why "possible convicted pedophiles" who were now out on bond or parole were not looked at VERY closely.... and at the minimum their finger prints checked again the partial left at the scene of the homicide... it just does not make sense!!!

The other thing that is bothering me is that NO one is mentioning my tip. Now......don't get me wrong... the accolades are nice...but not necessary...... to me the reward of knowing that Anthony's family can garner some fraction of "justice" and rest easy knowing that their son's killer will ultimately be punished for taking their precious Anthony's life....they have a name and face to vent their outrage, anger and distain towards.... rather then a unknown evil entity.... the evil one who robbed them of their son .....has a name and it's Joseph Duncan. As I stated to both the FBI AND the San Francisco Police dept. when I emailed them the tip about Duncan's possible involvement in the Martinez case on July 11th.... Ok so I told them I don't know if he had anything to do with this case........but if he did.......to get him for Anthony...... My being honest about the relevance shouldn't preclude them from following a tip..... even one they may also consider remote at the time.

I have to wonder........why it took the FBI contacting the San Francisco police to alert them to the possible involvement of Duncan when I emailed the tip to them DAYS BEFORE??? To me......that is a very valid question and one that begs to be answered..... they had the information..... they should have in my opinion been contacting the FBI.... asking for finger prints... which is contrary to what the sheriff there has been stating in every news conference I have seen...... didn't they know they had a tip?? I sent the information to the detective in charge of the case!!!! I emailed the FBI at the same time mainly because the FIRST detective's email listed on the flyer was no longer working...... and there was an alternative email address......so I used that. Fearing it might get overlooked or come back to me undeliverable again.... I decided to contact the FBI... I was that sure that Duncan was their man. I have always believed that ALL tips are checked out.... no matter how far fetched or improbable..... true.... all I am is an internet rookie detective.... and not an actual eyewitness.... but the information I was supplying....as it turns out was not just valid....but would have solved the case......HAD THEY CHECKED IT OUT...... The finger print.........if they had matched it against those in another state's data base.... could have solved the case eight years ago......IF THEY HAD CHECKED..... so........why aren't they checking? And how many innocent children are becoming victims because of these lapses in duty? That is what is so very perplexing to me......

UPDATE............the FBI announced yesterday that they have a single finger print connecting Joseph Duncan to the April 4, 1997 murder of Anthony Martinez..... So..... I was right....!!!! I really thought that Duncan matched the composite.....and that with him possibly being in the area........ it was a GOOD bet he was the perp!!!!! I am VERY glad I sent along that tip!!!

The following is ALL SPECULATION...... thinking out loud if you will....... I am looking into missing/abducted children and those that stand out.... I have listed below.... First the problem with missing teenaged children.... MANY if not MOST are listed as runaways..... not always the case.... but because this is the MAIN reason that teens disappear.... police often classify teens as runaways.... unless there is CLEAR initial evidence of something more sinister..... These three jumped out at me when I was researching missing children/murders that may be associated with Joseph Duncan.... the man being held in the Groene kidnap/murders.

Patrick Wayne Mello...... missing from Needles, CA.... disappeared on July 28, 1995..... listed as endangered missing........MAY be a runaway.... no information is available beyone the poster (no news reports)....... he was 13 at the time... 4'6" and 100 lbs...... missing from Needles, CA with from San Francisco is 555.6 miles from Needles..... 8 hours. 32 minutes.... it is adjacent to Mojave National Preserve....and quite near the Nevada state line.... hmm... first Anthony Martinez.... found in Joshua Tree.... disappeared from Beaumont 457.3 miles 7 hours 2 minutes from San Francisco.... NOTE........the SIZE of Patrick......he may not have LOOKED 13

Jack Daniel Phillips..... missing from Big Bear Lake, San Bernardino County, CA........ August 6, 1995 age at time of disappearance 9...4'0".....72 lbs.......last seen in the Aspen Glen Picnic grounds in the city of Big Bear Lake ...at around 5:00 - 5:30 pm........ Big Bear Lake, CA is 474.6 miles from San Francisco, CA....... 7 hours 18 minutes....... How ever if Duncan is responsible and in the Los Angeles area it is only 98.0 miles from LA to Big Bear Lake and drive time is approximately 1 hour 52 minutes.........

Notice above...... that Patrick Wayne Mello is ALSO gone missing on July 28, 1995..... it is 220.7 miles from Needles, CA........ US 40 goes from one place to the other..... and it is ONLY 96.1 miles to Joshua Tree National Park from Big Bear Lake, CA. So you have two youngsters missing within 220.7 miles of each other between Friday, July 28,1995 and Sunday August 6, 1995.... never to have been seen again.....

Manuel Mendez missing from Modesto, CA..... disappeared on December 22, 1996 listed as endangered missing.... he was last known to have been seen playing at the Tulumne River near his home on Shiloh Rd. LE fear he either fell into the river.... or was kidnapped..... Modesto, CA.... is 91.5 miles 1 hour 45 minutes...... from San Francisco....... the closest State Park..... is Yosemite National Park..... which from Modesto is..... 75 miles away.... Notice that this is CHRISTMAS time.... Shiloh Rd, is a short distance from US 5.... There is also a small park nearby........Laird Park...... it is of indeterminate size....... but is bordered by the Tulumne River..... surrounded is more like it.... where the road j16 is one border....... the river the other.... with just a small stretch on the East End that does not have anything on it's boundary...........Could Duncan have been visiting his father in CA at the time???

The three H's have gripped the East Coast and most of the country too..... Hazy.......HOT....... and HUMID.... spells disaster for the elderly..... and the homeless population of this country. Relief.......is on the way but in the mean time...... check on your elderly neighbors.....and make sure they are ok..... many times the fear of crime and the reality of escalating electric cost will present an elderly person with what they see as few alternatives to find relief...... They don't feel safe opening their windows....... and placing their fan in the window for fear they will become victims of crime........ and they can't afford to run their air conditioners........ because the cost of cool doesn't fit into their fixed incomes..... many elderly people die during heat waves because of these two unfortunate scenarios..... In some places the government is FINALLY realizing that they need to supplement the cost of cool.......just like they do with heating during the winter months. If this program was initiated country wide this could save plenty of lives and relieve the stress put on the elderly that often have to choose between food, prescriptions, and energy costs...... this relief would no doubt allow most of the elderly to run their air conditioners without fear of the exorbitant costs..... if your local government has no program.... suggest it! Many Power companies offer their customers a "fixed rate" charge per month.... or budget plan.... so that the costs are nearly always the same....... if you know of someone who could benefit from this type of program....... help them contact the Power company..... and set up their own budget plan. We live in cities of concrete and steel.... the asphalt and tall buildings exacerbate the normal heating that occurs during the heat of the day........ and serve to LOCK it in during what should be the cooler night time hours.... so there is never any relief..... conditions like this.... call for action.... just as we work to bring the automobile casualties down.......we need to work to bring down the preventable deaths caused by heat exhaustion. Other things to do....... make sure they know to drink plenty of water..... to never run a fan on themselves that doesn't have access to an open window.... the air in a closed room is TWICE as hot as the air outside and it causes the person to dehydrate at a higher rate. Help them to reduce the use of the rooms that they cool.... shut off the vents upstairs..... and use the cooler lower level. Remember..... heat rises....... the upper levels of your home are ALWAYS hotter and harder to cool then the lower levels. Basements stay cooler then any other level.... at minimum.......they should have ONE room that is cooled enough for them to get relief in. Here are some other things you can do.... Instruct them to use the power-saver feature and set it to CYCLE if they have a window air-conditioner... they will use less electricity... but still maintain the same level of cool. Keep blinds and draperies closed during the day, this helps to keep heat out. Keeping cool or warm is much easier and efficient in a properly insulated home. Make sure they have plenty of "cool treats" on hand, drink plenty of water, and eat light meals..... eliminating indoor cooking helps to reduce the indoor temperature.... take them a meal or two.... a spritz bottle filled with water to mist with.... will feel great if your senior does not have air conditioning.... Invite them over for dinner or to sit a spell for a bit of relief.... or take them to the mall or perhaps the movies as a treat.... But most of all.... Stay Cool!!!

Suspect wore a blue baseball cap - Duncan had on a blue baseball cap in the survelience videos when he and Shasta were at the gas station.

Suspect has blue eyes - Duncan also has blue eyes.

Victim Anthony Martinez was found in a remote area North of Indio, CA on a road that leads to Joshua Tree National Park - Duncan reportedly held the Groene children in a remote location in Montana State Park.

Suspect had a picture of a "lost" cat he displayed to the children - Duncan is a cat lover and prior to his arrest he owned two cats.

Suspect used duct tape to immobilize victim Anthony Martinez - Duncan used duct tape along with "Tie-straps" to immobilize the Groene family.

Suspect buried the remains of Anthony Martinez in rocks - Reportedly Duncan used rocks to conceal the body of Dylan Groene.

Duncan was in the San Francisco area in between January 1997 ~thru~ At LEAST April 1997.

Well I am sorry for not blogging in the last two months (gee it's been THAT long!!) but I needed a break from the internet... from CTV.... about the only thing I have kept up with is Fox News... but then... I can't totally deprive myself.... so here we go...

Firstly I would like to comment on the recent news....

To the folks in GB...... my sincere condolences to all of your citizens.... to those who lost their lives.... were injured physically.... or will suffer the torment of the "terror" inflicted on them for NO REASON.... My thoughts and prayers go out to all.

We CAN NOT let our guard down for a moment.... this should be CLEAR to all peace and freedom loving people all over the world... The Terrorists will not go away.... they have to be eradicated.... like cockroaches........ remember always..........they stand NO CHANCE of winning... yes... they cause pain.... yes they cause destruction..... but they will NEVER change the resolve of free people.... nor cause us to love our freedoms any less then our lives.... they are NOT the only ones ready to die for a cause...... at least OUR cause is JUST....... and RATIONAL..... these perverted thinking radical chicken-livered terrorists are no better and no higher on the food chain then a child molester..... they are PERVERTS all.... and deserve our disdain TOTALLY.... Lee Peterson's letter to the Modesto Bee addressed the lies.... the cheating... etc......but it seems he never grasped the CRUX of the case against his son.... it wasn't "media bias" or a hateful jury that got Scott Peterson his not so cushy cell on death row at the infamous San Quentin Penitentary....

HERE are some facts the media couldn't bias....
1.) He told AF and SS that his wife was "lost" almost a month before she was missing.....
2.) He bought a boat without mentioning it to ANYONE....
3.) He researched the tidal charts of the body of water in which Laci and Conner subsequently washed ashore.... 90 miles away.
4.) His demeanor AFTER the kidnapping.... although there is NO rule book........ MOST people would have at LEAST been broken up enough 2 weeks later to not be calling their GF during the memorial service for their "MISSING" wife....
5.) Conner and Laci washed up in the exact same body of water he used as an alibi....
6.) He sold her landrover......
7.) He was trying to sell her house....
8.) He and Jackie were going to give the crib to another family member.... but decided against it because it looked bad.
9.) The concrete evidence...
10.) SP calling Laci's DEAD cell phone....
11.) The supplies and cash he had on him when they finally arrested him.
12.) The DNA that proved it was Laci and Conner....
13.) He turned the nursery into a storage room14.) He had scratches on his hands and there was blood on the comforter.
15.) Laci washed up wearing beige pants....
16.) The blouse that wouldn't stay put.... first on the floor by the bed.... next in the hamper....... next rolled up in the back of a drawer....
17.) He told police he was NOT having an affair....
18.) He did not know what he was fishing for....
19.) He never mentioned the fishing trip to his father on the way back from Berkeley Bay on the afternoon of 12/24....
20.) He never returned any of Amy's phone calls.....
21.) He told some people he had been golfing that day and others he was fishing......
22.) There was evidence on the (Laci's) body that it was weighted down and pulled apart by tidal action and animal activity.
23.) He went fishing 90 miles away.... he had a receipt for the day she disappeared
24.) He bought a fishing license for the days just before Christmas.
25.) He did not have the right fishing equipment to fish for sturgeon.
26.) The tarp was found in the shed under a "leaky" leaf blower... that just happened to destroy the forensic evidence it may have contained.....
27.) He first purchased the viagra in July of 2002 after Laci was already pregnant.
28.) He had a history of cheating on his wife.

None of the above could have been tampered with by the media.... they are ALL FACTS and some of them helped the jury to convict SP of Laci and Conner's murder.... I wonder if the Peterson's ever looked into that grief counseling they sure appear to need it.

So Lee and Jackie........RIDDLE ME THIS.... How did Laci and Conner end up in the SFB some 90 miles from their home....in the SAME EXACT AREA as Golden Boy Scott Peterson PROVED he went "fishing" on the EXACT day Laci disappeared and was never seen again....

If not Scott..... then WHO??

Why would anyone RISK taking the body to the SFB after the police were already searching there..... at a time when the demand and use of the bay would be increasing due to the change of season.... why would they risk keeping the body around until they had the opportunity...... why would they risk transporting the body...... does this mean they had a boat? If someone wanted the baby.......why was the baby found dead in the SAME body of water that his mother was in? If he was to be a sacrifice... why wasn't he found on some "altar" somewhere... Why wasn't he found alive in the arms of some poor delusional motherhood deprived mentally ill woman who is passing him off as her own.

The negative letters now being submitted to the Modesto Bee in rebutal to Mr. Peterson's opinion.... they don't reflect the bias of the public from being misled by the media...... they reflect the fact that honest, right thinking people looked at the facts and concluded that this man killed his wife and child in cold blood... and that his parents would go to the ends of the earth to free him......even if he IS guilty... guilty .... guilty.... while they go on with the mantra Jackie told to Scott all those months ago in one of their phone conversations.... Deny... Deny... Deny.... I submit.... The time to deny is long past.... the time for denial is over.... He did it... he was convicted on the evidence.... and no amount of denial will ever make him free.

The broadcast news is on fire on IF and WHEN the Runaway Bride Jennifer Wilbanks will be charged with a crime for getting cold feet and taking off for Las Vegas.... the prosecutor in the case is still determining what he will do.... and he seems to think he would be within the law.... it depends says he on if she was willful or not..... AMAZING.... that the public is soooo outraged about this and yet the three people who KNOWINGLY hid John Cooey from the police, possibly enabling him to continue to assault Jessica Lunsford and subsequently bury her alive.... are not inundating Brad Kings office with letters of consternation demanding that they be held accountable for THEIR actions or inaction. They also lied to police during an investigation. They also sought to protect themselves from public scrutiny and lessen any adverse opinions.... the problem is....... no amount of money will ever restore Jessica Lunsford to her loving family.

As for me........ I am not sure what she deserves.... I think she was incredibly selfish by taking off and allowing her family and friends to go through days of the worst kind of hell... the hell that comes from not knowing what has happened to a loved child, a beloved relative, special friend and intended spouse.... I can't imagine looking anyone you care about in the face after perpetrating such a deception and saying..... I love you... or I missed you... both seem shallow considering the collect phone call she made should have happened before she boarded the bus on the night she disappeared.

Should there be charges....... I really can't say.... as to an investigation.... maybe we ought to be looking into why a member of this society we have created can be totally be devoid of any empathy towards those they purport to love to selfishly disappear without nary a by your leave. What prompts sex offenders to secret themselves into our peaceful neighborhoods and steal our children out of their beds.... to use them for their own selfish purposes... To me the correlation is clear........ selfishness is the clear root of most evil and thoughtlessness perpetrated on society today.... regardless it's a pervasive problem that doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon.....

This was supposed to be a congratulatory piece on our new pontiff His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI... and although I personally do want to extend my best wishes and prayers to our new Pope.... I for one will be fervently praying for him and for our Church.... we all need it. Ok... Bill O. you were right.... but don't let it go to your head... any idiot could have predicted the bad press.

I am sick of it... totally sick of it.... What is "it" you ask? It is the way that SOME "members" of the Catholic Church in America and Europe want to destroy MY Church... and yes... it is MY Church.... I was Baptized into... and have followed it's tenants carefully in my 46 years... there were times when I didn't agree.... times when youth and selfishness blinded me to the VALUE of the Churches teachings... and when the two worlds collided I stayed home.... I didn't expect the Church to change for me... to accept what the Church teaches means we have to accept what Christ teaches.... there is no room for comfort zones... if you aren't comfortable.... and you aren't willing to try to live up to the profession of your faith.... well... THAT is what freedom to worship REALLY is.... it's the freedom to visit every kind of faith available... and choosing the one that most represents your faith....... or if you prefer not to believe at all. Unfortunately MOST if not all Christian Churches believe in the Culture of Life.... and MOST do not consider Homosexuality a life style choice one cannot control THAT is not only their right but.... according to God's word.... it IS RIGHT.

With the death of PJP2 memorabilia from his reign and memorials on DVD are popular, I also bought one of these memorials... and was surprised to hear PJP2 say.... that even if it meant that there were NO Catholics left.... he could not support things that were contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ.... I almost clapped in spite of myself. I don't think he was speaking to hear himself talk... and that's likely why so many Catholics have chosen to leave the Church.... in recent years.... Now... if we can only convince all the rest that stay only to try to force feed their culture of death and sin agenda down our throats.... this includes those radical priests and bishops that forget to whom they have sworn allegiance to.... Did they really meet a radical God when they studied in the Seminary? Would Jesus give the thumbs up to their feel good messages from their progressive pulpits? Jesus was all about love they say.... He loved everyone.... I have to agree.... He sure did...... He also told us to love the sinner.... but to hate the sin.... and His message hasn't changed in the last 2000 years.... Oh.... and another thing.... He tells us to Go... and Sin no more....

I have no doubt that our new servant Pope Benedict XVI will continue in the same tradition the Church has been dedicated to ever since Jesus told St. Peter he was the rock on which the Church would be built... after all.... We have only God's word on it.... Jesus' teachings.... and the Holy Spirit to help us stay the course on our path to eternal salvation.

The stamp art of one Al Brandtner, the Chicago artist who rendered "Patriot Act," is a dangerous use of this man's freedom of speech.... The exhibit, has been dubbed as one of the most controversial exhibits displayed at Columbus College's Glass Curtain Gallery. "Patriot Act" is a sheet of mock U.S. stamps showing President George W. Bush with a gun to his head. With freedom comes responsibility... and Mr. Brandtner and Michael Hernandez de Luna, the curator of the show have shown they regard this responsibility as inconsequential... personally I find it not only offensive but dangerous leftist pandering...

Why the President?... My guess is the protection afforded this artist by the clear double standard the "general public" has allowed not only to exist but futher enables it to escalate to intolerable heights. The implication is clear.... In creating "Patriot Act".... the artist ... in living color relates and advocates his feelings that whoever would or could shoot President Bush would be carrying out a patriotic act.

That to me is UN-AMERICAN....

Why not Supreme Court Justices? Why not depict judges across this nation who in the ensuing months or year have sought to circumvent existing laws by their rogue personal interpretations and created precedence where none should have existed. What outrage would ensue if this artist had represented his freedom of speech in this manner?....... Given the current climate surrounding the judiciary..... It's my guess Mr. Hernandez would be drawing on some jail house wall to combat his consternation or for entertainment and I would have no reason to be outraged.... No.... I would be willing to bet that had Mr. Hernandez depicted the images of the six Justices of the Supreme Court with an unknown hand brandishing a gun and pointed at the head of each of our honorable justices.... the firestorm that would have resulted from the Secularist Left... would have burned a hole right through the first amendment.

Freedom of Speech cannot completely remove us from the Responsibility of maintaining that Freedom.... and holding a gun to the head of the President of the United States has got to be the MOST irresponsible infantile psychobabble we have been insulted with lately. The Reality of Blind Justice

I had read it before... I knew I had. I was too worried I guess wondering why a Florida judge had turned a blind eye in determining the facts in the long battle regarding Terri Schiavo. I wondered... how could the judge not see for himself, why did he ignore the evidence clearly demonstrated on the videos that Terri reacted to her surroundings. Why didn't he go see for himself.... go to her hospice room and decide based on his own observations. Had he poured over the scans and the reports of doctors from years past that included instances of pain reception and her speaking words, documented by even her husband. Why did he not examine the bone scans that clearly showed evidence of abuse?

Why not? Why not give the poor woman the benefit of the doubt? The answer is simple... Judge Greer couldn't.

Judge Greer is blind.

Unless all the testimony in the case was transcribed into Braille for him..... which I have no idea of knowing... there is no way of him reading the actual statements of the witnesses.....there is no way to transcribe a video for viewing by the blind..... there is no way to transcribe bone scans, CT scans, or any other radiology results.... and more to the point no way for him to personally observe Terri Schiavo.

I am an advocate for people with disabilities. I believe that no one should be denied the right to be the best that they can be..... in whatever profession they choose. That said, realistically I have to clarify myself here. My beliefs do not extend to the absurd. It is absurd to give a blind person a driver's license. It is absurd to give a hearing impaired person a position of answering 911 calls. It would be absurd to give a mute person a job as a police dispatcher. It would be absurd for anyone with a disability that precludes them from performing a task effectively be given the duty and obligation of protecting public safety or common good. Nor should judges who are legally blind be able to judge cases in which they alone are responsible for a verdict regarding evidence they can not evaluate.

There is no way that Judge Greer could have made a full and clear determination of the facts. I do not understand how by virtue of his disability he is allowed to be a judge on cases where the perception of vision is as paramount as the perception of his ethics and his interpretation of the law.

(Read that a couple of times, if you don't get it. It thus allows the mandatory rehab and food and water, as well as a few other things, that I've missed.)

Also please note that Schiavo’s decision to hold Terri at Hospice after it was clear that she was not "terminal" within Medicare guidelines was an improper use of the ward’s assets. In order to receive federal payment for hospice care, the facility must obtain a certification from the attending physician within two calendar days of initial admission that the patient’s "prognosis is for a life expectancy of 6 months or less if the terminal illness runs its normal course." 42 C.F.R. § 418.22(b) Terri has been in Hospice 3 years. Where are the physician certificates authorizing this?

Personal Note... it has been stated in the press by George Felos... that the HOSPICE DONATED HER CARE....

Must be Felos's connection to the hospice that got them to agree to that.......considering this same Hospice was found by Medicare to be illegally bilking the system for funds after submitting claims for patients that did not QUALITFY for hospice care as it is clearly defined....

Some of it has gone to Schiavo's care and much of it has been used to press the legal case as Michael Schiavo has sought to fulfill what he says were his wife's end-of-life wishes. But even if all the money had gone to Terri Schiavo's care, it wouldn't have been enough.

Back in fall 2003, George Felos, Michael Schiavo's attorney, said he had an agreement with the hospice to settle Terri Schiavo's bill when the case was over. That day appears to be coming soon.

He is also a lawyer.

The University of South Florida is intimately connected to Hospice and Hospice of the Florida Suncoast (the corporate owner of the hospice where Terri was being dehydrated and starved, and where she is once again interned).

The USF website gives information on continuing professional education to be held November 6th by the University of South Florida's Center for Hospice, Palliative Care and End-of-Life Studies.

The University of South Florida, Dr. Jay Wolfson's employer, has a partnership with, among other hospice organizations, the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast.

If you are honest with yourself.... and I hope you are... when you hear the "experts" speak about Terri Schiavo... I hope you are perceptive enough to realize.... that at every turn of the road... Team Schiavo's.... main cronies beside "Judge" Greer.... attorney George Felos.... and Dr. Humane Death Cranford.... at every opportunity the warn us about "those people".... those Right to Life Doctors.... those Right to Life Fanatics.... while masking what this blogger can only characterize as their support for state assisted euthanasia.... yet....... they SCARE and polarize you with the words..... Right To Life.... and they are effective..... and that the can do this so easily is very scary too. It's a panic response to something we fear.... to lose the right to make a decision for ourselves.

Let's talk about fanatics here.... the Right to Life "supporters" .... are the "fanatics" we as a nation are most familiar with.... we see them on the 6:00 news..... protesting at abortion clinics.... seeming to harass those who are seeking the services there.... many women have complained that they have been accosted going in for services totally unrelated to an abortion.... but were not spared the rhetoric.... and then.... you have the radicals...... that resort to violence... and violence can never be condoned.... no matter how great the belief in the good... the Right to Life issue is about control.... Who has the right to control when a woman finds herself pregnant.... if she is forced to give life..... or not....

But do we let our fear of groups that we see as a personal threat to our liberties.... Cloud our ability to ferret out threats that we have not yet considered. Now.... I will confess something to you at this point... I really didn't listen to the sound bites on the other side in this case.... I had read for myself trial transcripts, affidavits, and any thing else I could find that shed light as to the FACTS in this case... and had, to the best of my own ability looked up and investigated the major points of this case..... and had reached my own conclusion as to what had transpired..... In doing so I felt I had eliminated the need to pain myself with hearing Mr.Schiavo, Mr. Felos, Dr. Cranford, and others in their camp expounding their opinions and passing these predisposed musings off as FACT. I have to say.... I learned a valuable lesson.... never ever not listen to the opposing side.... don't tune them out... listen VERY carefully..... even if it breaks your heart and offends every sensibility you ever thought of having.... why.... because... you may see or hear something that clarifies what you have suspected all along.... The last people I have wanted to see on the news in the last two weeks admittedly were the principles in this death march.... somehow it just cut me to the quick to hear them spouting theories as fact all the while discrediting any doctor whose opinion differed from theirs.... and whom I am sure are not as quackadasical as they would have us to believe given their credentials. This is where my revelation happened.... I started to notice that when the dissenting Physician was making ground and communicating with authority their opinion of the diagnosis, they were attacked as a Right to Lifers.... when all attempts to discount their findings failed....

To put it bluntly.... they were discredited by a label.... and not a diagnosis. Transcripts are available widely on the web.... and if you doubt my assertions.... I invite you to check it out for yourself.

Although many people would agree the idea of women terminating their pregnancies isn't exactly something they want to address..... honest people would admit it's not their idea of birth-control.... and that perhaps there are times when it is warranted and in this vein.... you prefer to keep the option. What frightens you is the Pro-Life movement which in your mind seeks to accomplish two things.... first... to take away what you see as a choice (if that is your belief) and secondly..... to enforce a faith based belief on you that you do not embrace. Fair enough.... seeing people essentially saying the same thing but in forums that include picket signs makes the less committed of us squeamish.... and our first reaction is to balk. The hair on the back of our necks goes up the pulse quickens.... and respiration increases.... propelling us into the amphibological zone.... where fear forces us to concentrate on our fear and not on the validity of the information we are being told. I will offer you some examples....

In response to a question from Dan Abrams... On the reliability of Dr. Cheshire of the Mayo Clinic.... who could not fully examine Terri because of Judge Greer's orders.... but who attempted to evaluate her as correctly as he could.

CRANFORD:He did an interview with her for 90 minutes, observing her. He never viewed her CT scans. He makes no mention of her EEG, so while he's a reputable neurologist, perhaps, at the Mayo Clinic, his report means absolutely nothing. It's a desperation, last minute move by the governor who just doesn't know what else to do, so he brings in a Christian fundamentalist neurologist. It's just not true.

Dr Chesire observed Terri for 90 minutes... Dr. Cranford for 45.......

CRANFORD: I think 42 minutes, but 45 is fine, sure. ( I stand corrected!)

Cranford doesn't mince words. He's called some doctors who disagree with him "pro-life fanatics," and others quacks and charlatans.

Dr Cranford said, dismissing claims to the contrary as..... "pure, outright quackery and fraud".

"As a neurologist, if you said you needed an MRI after seeing that Cat, people would say you were nuts. Judge Greer was impressed by the Cat scan and accepted it as overwhelming visual imagery that she's got hardly any brain left.

"There is no test that will satisfy the other side in this case, because they don't listen to reason. After an MRI, it would just be something else."

Michael Schiavo's attorney, George Felos, glamorizing Terri Schiavo's death, saying she looks "beautiful" and is "resting comfortably."

Felos said he touched her on the cheek Monday, an action that caused her to open her eyes.

He called that "an involuntary reaction," again disputing more vivid accounts of physical responses relayed by Schiavo's parents.

"There's no cognitive reaction of Mrs. Schiavo," Felos said. "To someone who wants to believe there's something there, it's understandable."

He pulls out those catch words.......liberty....... religious extremism..... radical right.... government intrusion.... Right to Lifers....... and well pretty much....... BALK.... you don't hear anything else.... it's about you... it's no longer about if there is enough proof to say a woman in Florida told her husband she ACTUALLY wanted would prefer to die by starvation.... or if your prejudices and fears have kept you from seeing the truth........ I suggest..... if you feel you've been duped...... by the use of your "catch phrases" write your congress person and senators.... After all.... Death does not scare George Felos or Dr. Cranford.... but Death Sure Doesn't Become Terri Schiavo any more then it will become you......

Murder in Florida

There is a murder being perpetrated in Florida.... it is not taking place by some enraged citizen who can't control their temper in the confines of their personal space.... It's not happening in a dark alley by one of the "citizens" we most fear... the ones that prey upon us and those we love.... It is not being perpetrated by some looming hit man waiting to strike... This murder is taking place right before our eyes.... There is media coverage some would say 24/7 but I would not.... personally I never considered re-runs up to the minute reports.... We by virtue of telecommunications and information technology have become uninvited witnesses to a lynching.... err.... make that a starving. Mercifully we are spared the horror the family must face... but never the less.... it touches most of us in the same way we felt when we stood by helplessly and watched the Towers fall.... It is in your face human drama.... Reality to the nth degree.... and I am sure most of us are grateful for our remote control.... Unlike the family trapped in the drama.... we can escape.

Edmund Burke said, ‘The only thing necessary for the triumph [of evil] is for good men (women & children) to do nothing.’

.... and that is a FACT.

Most of us put ourselves in that category.... that we are good decent people.... yet sometimes we do let evil triumph.... by our inaction.... It's not always done with purpose or intent... sometimes we do it out of fear..... or convenience..... sometimes by allowing ourselves to be misinformed. And other times we simply do not care enough....

Let's talk about Terri Schiavo and what she wanted....
Do you know what she wanted??? Do I know what she wanted???

A judge is Florida has said HE does.... and at least 20+ of his peer group have backed him up.... but he went on the questionable facts presented.... brought to light with an uncertain degree of "clarity" some 7 -8 years after they were "heard". HEARSAY they call it.... it's when the person who said it isn't around to ask.... but someone purports that they heard them say it.... in most cases testimony like this is not allowed in a court of law.... when it does is.... it depends on the validity of the statement when it is allowed.... it's WEIGHT....... you couldn't convict someone with it for capital murder. Should we condemn someone to death under lesser standards??

Yet at this very moment.... Terri Schiavo is being put to death because of it.....

Go ahead and holler........ she doesn't want to be kept alive this way.... minimize her life by citing examples of her lack or brain function.... cite her lack of ability to enjoy a "reasonable" quality of life".... The idea for this blog came from people doing just that.... Life With Out Prejudice.... when I argued it ....was about Terri's wishes.... they asked why would she want to exist 'that' way.... They asked if 'I' would want to exist that way.... to which NO one could possibly say yes..... But if it happened.... I have left instructions to FEED me... and now I have even MORE witnesses.

Why then.... would I want that existence for Terri.... Let me make it clear..... I don't want that kind of existence for Terri.... but... it's the existence that Terri has.... it IS her life.... I will not devalue Terri by insisting that her life has no value. I am not clear on IF the burden of proof to the degree of certainty necessary has been met to say with certitude that Terri Schiavo wants to die.... at least now 15 years later....

Perhaps after she was revived close to 12 minutes after her heart stopped..... or when those unfortunate events that rendered her incapacitated had her tenuously hanging on to life by a thread on life saving machines..... if Terri's wish had been made known at that time.... and it was clear that years down the road..... that place we are now.... that she would be just the same.... that was the time to say goodbye to Terri.... but that was not the choice that was made.... Terri fought to live..... with what ever will existed in her being.... she struggled toward life. She has continued to struggle toward life.... having over come infections... and other problems associated with her condition. Terri has a life.... limited by our definition of life.... but life none the less... She could respond to her family.... She perhaps could have been helped more....She should have had years of therapy..... Her limbs should have been kept from getting so contracted.... The drapes to her room opened to allow sunlight.... Her wheelchair fixed so that she could enjoy a fresh Spring day.... a stroll in the park.... or a Holiday party with her fellow patients.... the door to her room open for the stray visitor to wander in.... Terri deserved make up .... and hairdos..... and pictures so her family could preserve her memory for future generations... and all the things that would have given her limited life a quality seemingly denied by court order. Like it or not modern medicine and God gave Terri back her life.... and both her husband and family agreed when they did..... you just can't change your mind down the road.... when it's not the life you wanted.

Differently-abled people understand this.... some come into this world never knowing they are challenged.... others through accident or illness lost functions they once enjoyed.... but they persevere..... they embrace the life they have.... they use what ever ability they have.... they over come odds.... they accept their limitations.... and strive to find ways around them.... They and Terri deserve to be the best that they can be.... with the life that they have been given.
